Generally, there are two types of hair transplant methods used for hair regrowth -FUT and FUE.

In FUT, Follicular Unit Transplant, a long strip of tissue is surgically removed from the donor area of the scalp. This strip is then separated into individual follicular units and then it is transplanted to the recipient site.

In FUE, the follicular units are extracted individually. In this method, tiny round incisions are made throughout the donor area to get the follicular units. FUE method can also make use of body hair if there aren’t enough on the scalp.

After looking into your case, the doctor would suggest the best method for you. It could be either of the two methods or a combination of them.

Platelet-Rich Plasma Treatment, commonly known as PRP treatment, is a three-step process that uses your blood with the plasma to stimulate natural hair growth in the scalp. Patients with Alopecia have witnessed maximum satisfaction with this procedure. This technique can also be used for male pattern baldness. The results are usually noticeable after at least 6 months and once a year, a patient may require a touch-up injection to stimulate the effect.
